Egyptian club Al-Ahly rejects former goalkeeper’s return its ranks

APA- Cairo (Egypt) The Al-Ahly football club of Egypt has categorically rejected the return of its former goalkeeper Essam Al -Hadary to its ranks again.

Officials of the Al -Ahly club said on Friday that Al- Hadary’s page with Al -Ahly was wrapped up forever and it was no longer possible for the club to talk about his return to the team since such return contradicts the principles , norms and values of Al- Ahly.

Al-Hadary - named as Best African Goalkeeper after Egypt’s winning of the African Nations Cup earlier in 2008 - had reiterated in the last few days his desire to return to Al- Ahly, expressing his regret and remorse for his behavior with regard to his move to Switzerland, seeking professionalism in Swiss club FC Sion . He declared his readiness to return immediately to the ranks of Al-Ahly.

His decision to return to Al -Ahly was however greeted by discontent and total rejection from Al-Ahly officials.

In another development, Nassr Abu Hassan, head of the Egyptian club Ismaili, has said his club has entered into negotiations with Al Hadary to join them.

Al-Hadary is still playing with a temporary international card pending the settlement by FIFA the case filed against him by Al- Ahly after his move to FC Sion without notice to Al- Ahly.

The star keeper justified the move, saying FIFA regulations allow a player who is over 28 years old to unilaterally terminate his contract without paying any compensation for the remaining time span of the contract which was due to end in his case by the end of the 2009/2010 season.

Et j'ai de plus en plus de peine à croire la presse. Notamment l'africaine qui nous envoie des joueurs comme Djabou, qui n'arrête pas de rabâcher le départ d'El Hadary. C'est simplement un journaliste frustré qui sait plus quoi dire.

De toute façon, CC ne sera pas stupide pour laisser partir Monterrubio ou El Hadary sauf contre beaucoup beaucoup. Et rêvez pas, les clubs prêts à enrôler Monterrubio ne seront jamais prêts à payer autant.

Egypt's No. 1 has revealed that he could be on his way back to his homeland...

According to FC Sion goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary, Egyptian club Ismaily have made an offer for his services.

"Ismaily opened talks with me over a possible move," disclosed the 35-year-old, who is currently nursing a knee injury.

"They also tabled an official bid but Sion are yet to respond because they are having their winter vacation."

He added: "Ismaily are a big club, but Sion will have the last word on my future."

Ismaily's top official, Mohamed Salah Abou-Greisha, said in a television interview: "Ismaily started negotiations with Sion after El-Hadary revealed his willingness to accept the offer.

"We are yet to know Sion's financial demands. We can discuss the details when they table their offer."

Mais généralement parlant, je ne comprends pas très bien pourquoi on critique toujours le Blick sur ce forum et qu'en même temps, on commence à reprendre les rumeurs lancées par 20min.ch. Bien sûr qu'ils aient des infos, mais celles-ci n'ont jamais l'air très concret. Le Blick à son tour, ne lance moins de rumeurs, mais est plus fiable.

Al Hilal fullback Yusuf Mohammed is set to seal a move that will see him join compatriot Obinna Nwaneri at Swiss side FC Sion.

Team mate Kelechi Osunwa has also made a move, but to Al Hilal's biggest rivals El Merriekh.

Mohammed, whose contract with the Omdurman club ran out at the end of the 2008 Sudanese league season, signed a pre-contract with the Swiss club in the summer and will now join them this month to complete the paperwork.

"I signed for them in the summer, but I could not join them until the end of the season," Mohammed told KickOffNigeria.com.

Mohammed ws offered a fresh contract by the Sudanese club, but says he chose to move to Europe.

"It is important for me to play at a higher level, that's why I chose to move to Europe," he said.
